Marcello Hernandez
Marcello Hernandez is a Cuban-Dominican stand-up comedian, writer, and actor, currently lighting up the screen on the 50th season of Saturday Night Live.
Before joining SNL in 2022 as the show’s first Gen Z cast member, Marcello gained attention through his sharp comedy and short-form videos on social media, including his work on Only in Dade, a weekly review series spotlighting life in his hometown of Miami. In 2019, he made the move to New York City to pursue stand-up full-time, and by 2022, he was named a Just for Laughs New Face of Comedy.
On SNL, Marcello is known for his hilarious portrayals of Domingo and Don Francisco in sketches parodying the beloved Spanish-language show Sábado Gigante. His performance earned praise from Don Francisco himself, who thanked Hernandez and the show for “bringing back memories of our Sábado Gigante.”
